We go on SAFARI at Sir Bani Yas Island

Join us as we walk on the wild side for this week's vlog

Did you know you can experience a real safari here in Abu Dhabi?

Okay, you need to go a bit further than Electra Street, but if you’re prepared for a bit of travelling you could be gazing upon giraffes, cheetahs and oryx within a couple of hours.

That’s all it takes to get to Sir Bani Yas Island, off the coast of Ruwais, even less if you go by Seawings seaplane, like our vloggers did.

The island is a haven for endangered special and a place for populations of animals to replenish.

The late, great Sheikh Zayed himself made sure oryx were moved to the island so their numbers could flourish.

It’s also the place where the second round of signatures for the formation of the UAE were gathered, and you can stay there at luxury Anantara properties.

If you want to see how Darragh and Tim got on, whether they outran a cheetah, and learn a foolproof way to rip your shorts then take a look…

And don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more great things to do in the capital.
