We try WAKEBOARDING in Ghantoot

Join us for this week's splashtastic vlog

It's so secret the UAE is a haven of adrenaline-fuelled adventure sports.

From kayaking to flyboarding, camel racing to kayaking, there's always something to get the pulses racing.

So we thought we would give wakeboarding a try to see where it ranks among our favourites.

We took a road trip to Ghantoot, where we joined forces with our Time Out Dubai pals to tackle Xtreme Wake in Ghantoot Marina.

If you've not seen it before, it's like jet skiing, but on a mini surf board.

Spoiler alert, it's not easy, but it's also possible to pick up relatively quickly, if you have a good instructor.

Thankfully, the guys had that, and barring a few faceplants were able to pick up the basics and each carved out a few waves.

See how we got on above.
