You don’t have to travel for hours and spend loads of money to have a nice break this weekend.

It’s a great time right now to bag yourself a bargain on a luxurious stay at one of Abu Dhabi’s many awesome hotels.

Lots of them have great offers on at the minute, meaning you can get away from it all with an affordable and unforgettable staycation.

Here are five great deals to try out this Friday night, as found via www.booking.com.

All prices, based on two adults staying, were correct at time of publishing.

Aloft Abu Dhabi

This one is about as much of a bargain as you could ask for this weekend.

Enjoy a room with a king bed or two queen beds at this modern hotel for just Dhs165.

Located near the Embassies District, it’s worth a look if you want somewhere central but not too deep in the city.

It boasts a handful of decent bars and restaurant choices, such as Relax@12, WXYZ lobby lounge bar and international cuisine venue Dine.

And it’s close to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center too, which is as good a reason to visit as any.

Centro Yas Island-by Rotana

It’s all happening on Yas Island these days.

From the new Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park to the existing Ferrari World, there’s plenty of awesome things to do on the island.

So maybe Centro Yas Island by Rotana is a good option for a short staycation so you can go out and explore?

Bag a spacious room with a queen bed and all the usual facilities you would need for Dhs210.

Stylish and comfortable, it’s also a good option if you fancy a day on the beach, which is just a ten-minute walk away.

Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate

Another decent option which won’t have you digging too deep into your pockets.

The three-star hotel is based in the Al Maqta area of the city, between Abu Dhabi Gate City and Bain Al Jessrain.

A standard double room will set you back just Dhs169, which is hard to beat.

It’s perfect for foodies, with a range of great dining options including Belgian Cafe, Gabbiano Italian Restaurant and 24-hour service in Fusion Lounge.

Rosewood Abu Dhabi

Without doubt, this is one of the capital’s plushest hotels.

Perched on Al Maryah Island, it oozes elegance and is definitely the kind of place you take friends or family when you’re trying to impress.

This Friday night, a classic king room at this elegant venue will set you back Dhs639.

But can you really put a price on luxury?

The Rosewood boasts awesome views across the Abu Dhabi skyline and the Arabian Gulf, along with all the usual top-class facilities such as a spa and an outdoor swimming pool.

You’ll be stunned by the marvellous grand staircase which greets you when you walk in and that awesome first impression will stick with you throughout your stay.

A superior king room with city views will cost you Dhs682 this Friday night.

It will give you the perfect excuse to explore the St Regis’ truly incredible array of fine dining restaurants, including the amazing Italian eatery Villa Toscana and alfresco hotspot Azuro Panoramic Lounge.
