Grand burgers

While there’s nothing wrong with a classic beef burger with a bit of cheese and salad, you can’t beat a proper gourmet patty that’s so big it needs to be eaten with a knife and fork. The new Grand Burgers menu at Grills @Chill’O lets you take your pick from wagyu beef, rabbit and camel options, and enjoy a hearty portion of fries with it, too.

Bargain hours

Are you a fan of a late lunch or early dinner? Or simply can’t live without your mid-afternoon snack/small meal? Well now you can get 50 percent off everything at Hemmingway’s from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.

Ladies and boys

Girls can get three courses of tasty Thai food plus two hours of unlimited house beverages, while gents can enjoy three courses and a house beverage at this most raucous of karaoke nights at Mr Miyagi’s.

Asian night
With noodles, dim sum, curries, sushi, soups and more, Asia seems to have all the best foods. You can sample dishes from across the continent for less than Dhs100 at the new Asian night at c.taste, and with a make-your-own Thai curry station, live grills and more, it’s impossible not to have a great time.

Aperitivo time

The aperitivo deal at Todd English’s Olives makes it very easy to imagine that you’re  sitting by the canals of the real Venice.  There are unlimited bar bites and house beverages for a whole two hours.

Queen of Hearts
Created for International Women’s Day, the Queen of Hearts afternoon tea is inspired by female icons. Featuring meringues, finger sandwiches, loose-leaf teas and many other dainty delicacies, it’s available throughout the whole of March.

Chocolate extravaganza

Chocolate addiction is a common affliction, and sometimes it’s best just to indulge it. The new chocolate afternoon tea at Majlis Lobby Lounge features chocolate opera cake, chocolate brûlée, white chocolate cheesecake, chocolate truffles and more. It’s that good that even the plates are edible. Yes, really.

The name might be a bit of a mouthful, but there’s really nothing not to love about the Seafoodelicious night at Essence. Work your way through an extensive buffet of fresh seafood, cooked and prepared in a variety of ways.

Weekend grills
The end-of-the-working-week celebration at Origins lets you kick off the weekend with free-flowing grape, crisp salads, decadent desserts and of course, more grilled meats than you’ve probably eaten before in your life (or before you moved to Abu Dhabi at least). Is it Thursday yet?

Family brunch

As well as grilled meats and loads of live stations, brunch at The Village also includes pool and beach access, so you can collapse on a sunbed after yet again eating your own body weight in pizza and pasta.

Stars ’n’ Stripes
When it comes to stodgy dishes, there’s nothing like American food. So if you’re still feeling weary after your Thursday-night partying, head down to Hamilton’s Gastropub to feast on USA-style burgers and hot dogs.

Rock & Roast

Finish the weekend off on a high with a night of roast meats and top tunes at Glo. Take in the views over the water and city skyline as you feast on roast beef and chicken, plus a selection of fresh seafood. You can wash it all down with free-flowing grape as well.

Early birds
Steakhouse The Foundry has started opening its doors from 6pm, and to encourage us to head out a bit earlier to enjoy our steaks and grilled meats, it is offering 50 percent off everything on the food menu until 7pm (not on Thursdays).
