A huge, five-day lifestyle and entertainment showcase is returning to the capital.
The Festember festival will take place at Louvre Abu Dhabi’s Waterfront Park from December 5 to 9.
Including everything from eye-catching art installations, to fashion pop ups, live music and food trucks, there’s something to peek everyone’s interest.
Created around the theme of ‘beautiful dreams’, the featured artists will use inflatables, light and illusions to create awe-inspiring visual displays. The Hoverboard and Pixel Poi performance looks set to be particularly unforgettable.
Appearing alongside the art installations will be a full line up of singers, guitarists, bands and other musical performers. Danny Aridi, Aman Sheriff, Vera Ciocca, Jay Abo and Omar Dean are just some of the local artists set to be appearing, while soulful Bahraini Jazz-singer Banah will also be treating to the crowds to her smooth vocals and moving tunes.
Meanwhile, film fans will adore the quirky open-air cinema. Boasting retro cars and lots of popcorn, it’s a set up that reaches Instagram levels of style.
If fashion is more your thing then you’ll need to make the fashion hub, which features displays from some of the region’s most exciting upcoming designers, your unofficial second home.
Plus, if you’re feeling a bit bored of shopping in the same high-street stores and accidently buying the same outfits as your friends (awkward), you’ll love the collection of pop-up shops.
Featuring high-quality clothing and unique designs from over 40 international and local designers, you’re bound to find some new pieces which will have you standing out from the crowd.
Running as part of the upcoming Abu Dhabi Food Festival, food is also a key feature of this family-friendly event.
Among the many food and drink trucks will be Chick’Ncone, a sustainable chicken and waffle concept inspired by the warm hospitality of the southern states of America, and The Barrel BBQ, a South African food outlet.
LA-based eatery The Gastro Garage, which uses blow torches and nitrous charged foams to create its signature dishes, is also bringing its interesting cooking techniques to the capital.
Other outlets will be dishing up burgers, coffees, cookies, karak tea and many other sweet and savoury treats.
You can check out all this arty playground from 5pm to midnight every day through the festival.
