Where to celebrate Diwali 2018 in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is a city proud of its diversity and being home to an array of people from different backgrounds and traditions.

And one of the best parts of this rich tapestry of different cultures is the range of celebrations and holidays we get to enjoy.

Tonight (November 7) marks one of the most colourful of all – the Festival of Lights, Diwali.

Here’s a few ideas on how to take part in the celebrations in Abu Dhabi.

Join the fun at Al Raha Beach Hotel

This Al Raha hotspot is going big for Diwali with a whole host of activities and treats planned to celebrate Diwali.

La Piscine Pool & Bar will host a big bash featuring various Indian and contemporary dance performances, entertainment acts, family-friendly activities and a Rangoli arts competition.

And for the foodies among us, there’s a spread of delectable delights, including traditional Indian and savoury treats.

Grab some gold at The Mall at World Trade Center.

For the past month, Abu Dhabi’s The Mall at World Trade Center has been inviting shoppers to enter their great big gold giveaway.

But you haven’t missed your chance, as the competition is running until November 10.

Anyone who spends Dhs200 or more at the mall will be entered into a draw to win ten grams of gold daily.

And there’s also themed dancing and entertainment to mark this special occasion.
