Freerunning masterclass in Abu Dhabi

Internet stars Team Farang heading to Bounce trampoline park

For many people, the thought of running off a tall building without any form of safety equipment is nothing short of a nightmare.

But for a growing number of others, it’s an inimitable adrenaline rush and a chance to live entirely in the moment.

Freerunning, or parkour as it’s also known, has rocketed in popularity over the past decade and has Abu Dhabi in its sights.

Which is why we’re excited about the news that some of the world’s most famous freerunners are coming to Abu Dhabi to dish out a masterclass in their art.

Team Farang tour the world to show off crazy stunts to their masses of followers on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

And now they’re heading this way to teach budding freerunners all they know at the capital’s ever-popular Bounce trampoline park in Marina Mall.

We’re told it doesn’t matter how much or how little experience you have and that it’s open to everyone.

You might find it a cool and different way to exercise, learn new skills or just try something out of your comfort zone.

As part of their Middle Eastern leg of the tour, Team Farang will also be inviting schools to bring their physical education classes to BOUNCE so that kids have the chance to try freerunning.

The military-style training discipline encompasses total body fitness, helps to foster creativity, promotes quick-thinking skills and is a lot of fun in the process.

There are three workshops in total across the UAE.

They start in Dubai on April 20 from 5pm to 7pm, before heading to Abu Dhabi on April 27, also from 5pm to 7pm.

The final session is in Al Ain on April 28, from 5pm to 7pm.
