Football giants Juventus launch Abu Dhabi academy

Italian champions to help mould new generation of UAE soccer stars

Italian giants Juventus are ready to help the next generation of UAE soccer stars kick off their careers – after launching a brand new academy in the capital.

The Serie A champions, one of the famous football clubs on the planet, will swing open the doors to the Juventus Academy this week.

The new academy will be based at the Abu Dhabi Cricket facility, at Zayed Cricket Stadium, with sessions for kids aged four through to 17 running on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Juventus legend David Trezeguet, who won the World Cup and European Championships with France along with a clutch of honours with the Italian side, was on hand for the huge announcement.

Ahmed Al Masaood, Vice Chairman of Al Masaood Group, commented, “We are honoured to represent one of the biggest football clubs in the world. Juventus was founded in 1897 and it is the only sports team in the world to be owned by the same family (Agnelli) for 94 years. It is a great step to further strengthen the relationship between UAE and Italian culture and and is sure to be highly valued by the Abu Dhabi community.”

The Juventus Academy will feature coaching programmes to give young players their first vital steps into a life in the beautiful game.

Young players will also have the opportunity to travel to Italy during the summer to take part in the Juventus Training Experience and the Juventus Academy World Cup.

The Juventus Academy is a true global success, with 80 projects all over the world.

Now Abu Dhabi footballers will have the chance to learn the game, the Italian way.
