If you’re anything like us, you can sometimes struggle to motivate yourself to stay fit.

It can be hard to get yourself psyched up to go running after a long day at work when all you want to do is perch yourself on the sofa and watch Netflix.

If that sounds familiar, you might want to consider joining a running club in Abu Dhabi which will help you shake off the laziness and get you up and running – literally.

House of Runners organises regular meet-ups for athletes of all abilities in the capital to gather and pound the pavements together.

It’s a great way to blow off some steam, keep yourself fit and active and make new friends in the process.

And one of the best parts is that it’s completely free.

The club was set up around a year ago and its membership continues to grow and grow.

Whether you’re a competitive runner looking for like-minded athletes to train with or you’re a beginner looking to increase your fitness and stamina, the club is open to all.

Sessions tend to start with a five-minute briefing from an expert runner before the stretches begin.

They take places in locations across Abu Dhabi, including Zayed Sports City and Al Bateen.

Over the past several months, members trained for the 2017 Striders Half Marathon, the 2018 RAK half marathon and a number of local races.

Many others are eying the ADNOC full marathon in December, which will be Abu Dhabi’s first marathon.

And the club is on a recruitment drive for new members, so you will be welcomed with open arms.

All runs are posted on the club’s meetup.com page here.

Or you can check out their Instagram for more details.
