Abu Dhabi Grand Prix fans get into the spirit with family fun day

Yas Marina Circuit has been full of family fun today as the capital gears up for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

On Sunday, the eyes of the world will be on the famous track for the tenth anniversary of the big race.

But that's just one part of an epic weekend of events, gigs, parties and activities the capital has to offer.

Thousands of children and their families from around the world have been enjoying the wide range of entertainment options on offer at Yas Marina Circuit today and across this weekend.

Families flocked through the gates on ‘Family Friday’ and headed for the Oasis areas, Fanzones and the ever-popular fan favourite vantage point Abu Dhabi Hill to make the most of the fun and cultural activations available.

Some of the youngsters even got to meet their sporting heroes, with a handful of drivers spotted minging with the crowd.

And the GP3 and F2 support races filled the air, as well as F1® practice sessions in action around Yas Marina Circuit.

It comes as the capital's big weekend got off to an epic start with superstar gigs from music favourites such as Post Malone last night.
