Taverna (Abu Dhabi)

Time Out Says

Taverna is a hard restaurant to categorise. Nestled deep inside the Armed Forces Officers Club, it has all the charm of a cheesy Mexican spot, a dingy sports bar and a musty hunter’s lodge wrapped up into one grotto-like man cave that serves food. The menu runs the gambit, but offers an extensive selection of Mexican fare from nachos to quesadillas to fajitas. For good measure, they’ve added some pizza, Indian and British cuisine to really throw you off. While the service is quite good, the decor is hard to get past and the food is tough on the palate. The salsa and guacamole served as you peruse the menu isn’t the most impressive, and the starters and mains don’t fare much better.
