Time Out Says
This English themed pub also doubles as a destination for sports fans watching live Premiership football matches. While the interior’s unlikely to blow you away, it’s one of the city’s less shabby replicas of a British watering hole. The main room is an exposed brickwork and dark wood-heavy attempt at recreating a quintessential British tavern. Barrel-shaped tables, wooden booths and leather armchairs make up the rest of the dark look. The menu offers a choice of modern and British classics, from hearty steak and mushroom pie to the ubiquitous fish ‘n’ chips. In terms of quality, while there’s nothing spectacular on offer, there’s also very little to criticise. With tax included in the prices and many dishes offering great value, if you’re searching for an unpretentious meal, you can’t really complain about this place.
