Time Out Says
Sennara is a curious place with a rather uninviting façade and a setting that’s worse. If it’s possible for the atmosphere of a restaurant to ruin its food, this is it. In fact, the stifling wood furnishings, dim lighting and melancholy Arabic classical music kills said food and then buries it ten feet under. Which is a real shame, because it’s actually quite good as far as eastern Mediterranean seafood goes. Proceedings at Sennara are swiftly explained by the staff. First, you make your choice of seafood, then you decide how you want it cooked (chargrilled, deep fried, steamed or in Provençal style) and finally you choose your sauce. The food is great value for money, but the place is in dire need of a facelift, making it better suited to those wishing to wallow in their own woes rather than enjoy a dinner.
