Rainbow Steak House - Abu Dhabi
Time Out Says
Despite the name, this restaurant offers a far wider selection of different cuisines than mere bovine cuts. Covering Chinese, Indian, Italian and international including steak (obviously), the menu is littered with untrendy remnants from the culinary past, including spaghetti bolognaise, chicken escalopes and prawn cocktail. The 1970s theme is continued in the décor, which fans of chintz will find refreshing in comparison to the white, minimalist modernity of so many of the other dining rooms in the city. The main draw to this retro experience are the prices; the buffet offers amazing value and the steaks come in at under Dhs100. So, if you fancy a ’70s nostalgia afternoon that won’t burn a hole in your pocket, this should do the trick – just don’t expect too much in terms of quality.
