Time Out Says
In a city packed full of restaurants and cafés, it’s nice to find a place trying something new. Situated in the lobby of the Hyatt Capital Gate, next door to Adnec, Profiterole offers a selection of choux pastry balls; some sweet, some savoury. And while we welcome the idea, we’re not sure they’ve got it right just yet, as the savoury variety are more than a tad dry. The location is a little out of town, so don’t be surprised if you find Profiterole almost empty, although it’s probably busier when there’s an exhibition on at Adnec. The Hyatt’s reception area is pretty nifty looking as it is, with a simply enormous glass chandelier and huge circular blue sofas that look like they’ve been borrowed from the set of a sci-fi film (you’ll have fun trying to get out of them once you’ve sat down). The thing to remember about Profiterole is it’s early days. If they can iron out a few kinks in the menu, it could be a great place to enjoy a spot of lunch with a difference.
