Time Out Says
Mikado is tucked away inside the Al Hana Centre in Al Khalidiyah, a district that buzzes during the day and has hundreds of dining options for the busy professionals who work nearby. As you enter the restaurant, you’ll find a sushi bar to the right and a Japanese bakery to your left, brimming with colourful treats. The sushi menu and bar are appealing, but you can also sit in a booth. The vast menu holds numerous treats – so many that you may find yourself indecisive. But what you do order will arrive artfully presented. However, service can be sketchy and the prices are higher than in nearby, equally delicious sushi cafés. That said, Mikado is definitely worth a try if unusual pairings excite you, or you are curious about what might await you in a Japanese bakery. Be sure to take a taxi as parking can be difficult.
