Time Out Says
It’s no secret Emirates Palace and awe-inspiring luxury go hand in hand. But what you might not have known is few places in the capital ooze such outrageous opulence like the hotel’s Italian eatery Mezzaluna.
A trip here is a step inside a world of beautiful high ceilings, fine art-adorned walls, regal service and a food menu which soars above the ordinary, and that’s without mentioning the gorgeous terrace with sweeping views of the Arabian Gulf.
We’re big fans, so we want to make sure it’s still upholding its own lofty standards.
The burrata with roasted tomatoes, broccolini and black truffle dressing is light, creamy and full of flavour. The slow-cooked salmon with violet artichoke French beans and crispy leaves is cooked perfectly and seasoned impeccably.
A generous serving of lamb tagliatelle is on the right side of al dente, while the tender meat and sautéed artichokes work perfectly.
The dessert menu is packed with treats we don’t have room for, but the tiramisu on the next table looks absolutely incredible.
Service is super and never intrusive. We’re reminded that this place is among the capital’s finest eateries.
It’s drenched in Italian charm without straying into tacky territory and it’s one of the more family-friendly options in Emirates Palace.
If you’re looking for an evening to remember, look no further.
