Time Out Says

Mawal stands clear above the competition of decent Lebanese food in Abu Dhabi, which isn’t exactly hard to find in the city. Although definitely more expensive than its other Lebanese counterparts, this venue makes up for the added dirhams by providing superbly prepared dishes served by attentive staff. We particularly love the hummus with meat, as well as the rocca salad. The meats are grilled to perfection and the selection is satisfyingly varied. If you have the stomach for raw meat, we suggest trying the kibbeh nayyeh at Mawal. The lively atmosphere is another thing Mawal has going for it, with long tables crammed with noisy groups enjoying the nightly belly dancing show. If it’s authentic, fine Lebanese food you crave, then ignore the gaudy décor and head out to Mawal.
