Time Out Says

This is a steakhouse with a big name to live up to, and it certainly does that. The food is impeccable, the service is personable and the setting is warm. And that’s not just because of the huge open fireplace sitting on one wall.

The grills menu here is certainly one of the more elaborate and indulgent ones we’ve come across at a steakhouse, with a range of certified Angus, prime USDA beef, wagyu (7+ marbling, no less) and Stanbroke sanchoku (an even richer form of wagyu) all available.

There are oysters and caviar, soups, salads and other seafood options for starters, while mains cover a wider spectrum than just steaks, too (spatchcock chicken, oxtail tagliatelle, five spice duck breast, to name a few), but those excellent cuts of meat
are by far the way to go.

We recommend the wagyu tenderloin for those who like a butter-soft texture to their steak, and the USDA rib-eye is perfect for those who want a bit more fat running through their meat.

The prices mean a meal here will probably be a special occasion for most, however the Wednesday night Steakout deal makes things more accessible, as does the Saturday roast.

The bottom line
A top-class dining experience.
