Jun Encarnacion Cafe and Restaurant

Time Out Says

This cheap and cheerful Asian eatery is a decent stop if you’re hoping to fill your face on a budget. Around Dhs100 will not only get you enough hearty Filipino, Chinese, Vietnamese and even Italian fare (although if the tiramisu is anything to go by we’d recommend you stick to the Asian dishes) to fill two people, but also a background of live music or karaoke. True, if ’90s love songs aren’t your thing you might want to go elsewhere, but for those who are less hard of heart the gentle tunes can only serve to enhance a fun dining experience. Standout dishes include the honey and ginger chicken and sweet and sour vegetables, although avoid the over-salted pad Thai and chewy beef green curry. The wait for food can be excruciatingly long, and the decor is a little dark and gothic, but with the right group of friends Jun Encarnacion can make for a fun place to enjoy some cheap and filling food.
