Swanky pan-Latin restaurant Toro Toro is all set to open its doors to the city’s foodies this September.
The brainchild of celebrity chef Richard Sandoval, the swanky venue will be located at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers on the Corniche.
With existing restaurants in Dubai, Miami and Washington DC, Toro Toro Abu Dhabi will be split across two levels and it’s décor will feature a blend of traditional and contemporary styles. Splashed out in warm red and orange tones, one-of-a-kind, Peruvian hand-made mosaic frames will display modern art pieces and Mexican hand-made carpets in its main dining room, while its first floor terrace will offer diners stunning views of the Arabian Gulf.
As for the food, the highly-skilled team will roll out a selection of cold and hot sharing plates laden with tasty eats like aperas and ceviches, as fans of grilled meat pick off the churrasco a la carte menu. The team’s equally skilled team of mixologists will ensure there are plenty of trendy beverages flowing around.
“We are extremely excited to bring Toro Toro’s unique and successful concept to a new audience in the capital. We feel the restaurant will fill a niche in the hospitality scene in Abu Dhabi and look forward to replicating the success we have seen across the Middle East for all our restaurant concepts,” says Richard Sandoval. Our pals over at Time Out Dubai have only good things to say about the outpost in their city, saying “for a special meal or a night out with close friends, Toro Toro is one to add to the must-list.”
Well, we cannot wait. Watch this space for more details.
