Time Out Says
Despite the slightly unflattering next-to-lobby setting, Casa Romana is able to conjure up the occasional moment of magic in its Italian cooking. Start with the vegetarian platter – a large selection of zesty artichokes, crunchy mushrooms, tomatoes and sweet char-grilled peppers, artfully presented on a half-moon plate. For mains, don’t look beyond the grilled lamb chops, which are perfectly pink and succulent. Not all the dishes are successful, and service is a little ropey, but if you’re after a simple Italian meal, you could do worse.
