Brunch review: LPM Restaurant & Bar

A French-Mediterranean Sunday brunch featuring excellent food and flawless service

If you’ve visited many brunches during your time living in the UAE, you may have observed the food can often not quite live up to a dinner experience in the same restaurant. Here, the same couldn’t be further from the truth. LPM Restaurant & Bar has completely ripped up the brunch playbook, featuring only its top dishes and best-sellers.

The La Vie en Rose brunch is the ultimate way to experience as much of LPM’s classic French-Mediterranean cuisine as you desire at a fixed price. Starting from Dhs375 per person, you get to choose from a selection of unlimited starters, one main, one side and one dessert.

From the moment you walk into LPM, you’re greeted with warmth and enthusiasm that sets the tone for a very memorable dining experience of Niçoise specialities.

Every dish is expertly crafted and designed to share, allowing you to enjoy a range of delicious options. Dishes are their regular size and quality, despite the fact that they’re unlimited, so expect the usual portion of six escargot, six pieces of prawn, four slices of burrata, and so on.

Mains include the wagyu fillet, seabream, mushroom risotto and more. Pair with one of the restaurant’s excellent sides (whisper it: “gratin dauphinois”).

The dessert selection ends the meal on a resolute high note, with a choice of LPM’s famed cheesecake, well-loved pain perdu, or warm chocolate mousse with malt ice cream, a relatively recent addition to the menu.

LPM Restaurant & Bar’s brunch is an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy as many French-Mediterranean classics as they can, without dire consequences on their bank account. An all-round must-try.

Dhs375 (soft drinks), Dhs450 (house beverages), Dhs575 (bubbly). Sun noon-4.30pm. The Galleria Al Maryah Island, lpmrestaurants.com (02 692 9600).
