One cuisine that’s grown in popularity in recent years is Korean food, and we’re glad it’s becoming more common.
We’re no strangers to bibimbap, kimchi, gimbap and bulgogi, at Time Out and we’ve always got our chopsticks at the ready.
Don’t get us started on Korean fried chicken either, it’s the best.

Bon Ga Restaurant
Located across the road from a Korean supermarket in Mussafah, this casual and cosy Korean restaurant has all the dishes you could hope for from beef short ribs and hot pots to Korean fried chicken and bibimbap. All the bases are covered.
Daily 9am-9pm. Qannas Street, Mussafah (02 553 4842).
This popular downtown Korean restaurant is a great spot for getting your fix of Korean staples, whether it’s in a private booth, sitting on the floor with friends or in the main restaurant where you can slurp on noodles, kimchi and the rest with satisfaction.
Daily 11am-10pm. Hazza Bin Zayed the First Street (02 642 3399).
Walk straight past the golfers working on their handicap and make a beeline for Madang where you can get stuck into loads of Korean fare from Korean BBQ that you cook yourself to fried chicken, hot pots, kimchi and the favourites.

Manna Land Korean Restaurant
You can get your fix of all the Korean dishes you love at this casual and inviting restaurant where dishes on offer include bulgogi, fresh seafood, dukbokkie, kimchi, fried chicken, bibimbap and more. There are also loads of Japanese dishes on offer too including sushi and yakitori if you fancy.

Red Castle Restaurant
Serving up Korean food, and Chinese dishes too, Red Castle is a popular place where you can cook your own barbecue with ingredients of your choosing and get your chopstick around popular dishes including hot pots, kimchi, noodle dishes and more.
Daily 11am-midnight. Al Lammadh Street, Al Nahyan (056 561 1618).
On the outside it looks more Japanese but take a look at the menu and you’ll find some Korean staples on offer including bulgogi, kimchi, bibimbap, Korean BBQ, cold noodles, tteokgalbi and more to fill your stomach.
