Sushi Sundays

It’s hardly suprising that this weekly event at Aquarium has a loyal fan base. The all-you-can-eat buffet includes colourful sushi, hot appetisers, a noodle station, fresh salads, miso soup and more. The views over Yas Marina are also unbeatable and you can even stay on afterwards for the ladies’ night.

The Pub Lunch
If you’ve worked hard in your gym class, or if you simply fancy a nice plate of pub grub, there’s nothing like a trip to The Sportsman’s Arms. And now that it’s launched its great-value lunch deal, you can’t keep us away. It features a delicious main dish (including burgers and salads) and a soft drink (hot or cold). Nice one.

Argy Bargy night

Few things in life are more tasty and satisfying than a curry night, and on Mondays you can get a classic curry, such as lamb rogan josh or butter chicken, plus a bottle of hops for less than Dhs100 at The Scene.

Tomahawk Tuesday

This hump day deal has really got our stomachs rumbling. Yourself and a plus one can get a great deal on a huge juicy steak, two brilliant sides and two lovely desserts at Ray’s Grill.

Bedouin feast

Al Mabeet restaurant at Jumeirah Al Wathba invites you to enjoy a traditional Bedouin camp-style evening, complete with pan-Arabic cuisine, fire dancers and oud players.

45-minute lunch
Swing by Kuzbara and you can try the eatery’s most popular dishes for Dhs45 each. You’ll also be in and out in less than an hour, so no there’s no reason for your boss to grumble either.

Butcher’s night

Start the weekend off the right way, or more specifically, with an exceptional meal at The Grill. Choose one quality cut of meat, or go all out and indulge in the three-course set menu. You won’t regret it.

Business lunch
Grabbing some Lebanese food at Dahab is always a very good idea, and it tastes even better when you’re having it in place of your usual sorry packed lunch. For less than Dhs80 you can get a starter, main and dessert. It’s just what you need to get through the working week.

Breakfast time

Skipping breakfast just isn’t an option for us here at Time Out Abu Dhabi. On weekends, we love nothing better than stretching it out for hours and hours and our latest obsession is with the Arabic breakfast at TEAN.

Fondue Fridays

Got a thing for delicious fromage? We know we have. Now you can pretend you’re tucked away in your own ski chalet in the Alps with the fondue and grape night at The Warehouse. There’ll be plenty of bread and potatoes to dip into your huge pot of melted cheese, and some pickles and onions to go with it, too. You can wash it all down with a fine selection of grape for that après-ski vibe.

My Morocco
Morroco is home to some of the best food in the world, and you can sample everything from tagines to couscous at the Terrace on the Corniche. The buffet of colourful dishes also draws influences from Andalusian Spain, Arabia and France, and it all looks really good.

Afternoon tea

Nothing beats a Saturday afternoon sipping endless cups of tea and munching on piles of freshly-baked scones, fancy cakes and amazing sandwiches. The spread at The Lounge has everything you could dream of and more.

Irish brekkie
Weekends are for lazy lie-ins and huge breakfasts, and you can grab a full Irish until 1am at PJ O’Reilly’s. There’s also a juice and hot drink thrown in too, all for less than Dhs80. Now that’s a deal worth getting out of bed for.
