Lebanese celebrity chef is hosting a pop-up in Abu Dhabi

Love food? Then get excited because a celebrity chef is about to bring exciting new flavours to Abu Dhabi.

Lebanese television personality and chef Joe Barza will be cooking for guests at rhe Shangri-La, Qaryat al-Beri from May 3-8.

The chef, known for fusion cuisine and contemporary take on Lebanese food, will be taking up residence at Sofra BLD.

On the menu are dishes like freekeh with smoked roast leg of lamb and shrimp knafe alongside a cold mezze selection including red lentil tabbouleh, beetroot moutabbal and shawarma marinated tuna.

Got room for dessert? Take your pick from layali lebnen with halaweh and mhalabieh with caramelised apple and apricot coulis. Yum.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it along to see the chef in action, his dishes will remain on the menu until the end of Ramadan.

In the mood for more food? Shangri-La, Qaryat al-Beri will also be hosting Sri Lankan pop-up restaurant Ministry of Crab
from April 25-27.
