New seafood festival at Abu Dhabi's best Italian restaurant

Villa Toscana is hosting the nine-day celebration of the ocean

New seafood festival at Abu Dhabi's best Italian restaurant

Villa Toscana has has long been one of our favourite Italian restaurants in the Abu Dhabi. In fact it was named Best Italian at our 2018 Restaurant Awards.

From the antipasti and cheese buffet that greats you on arrival to the amazing spread of desserts and pastries (and everything in between), an evening at this classy eatery is always an absolute pleasure.

But during April, it is offering an extra element to its already extensive menu.

The seafood festival is taking place from April 19 to 27 and will feature an amazing selection of fish and shellfish specialities.

The menu is refreshed on a daily basis. This means that even if you ate there every evening during the nine-day festival, you’d still be able to try something different every time.

Of course, with so many brilliant restaurants  available to us in the capital there’s no need to eat at the same place for so many nights in the row. But once you read what’s on offer at Villa Toscana, you might well agree that the idea is quite tempting.

The starters include light plates such as meaty swordfish with cream of fava beans and rocket, or Tuscan seafood soup served inside freshly baked garlic bread.

Meanwhile, pasta lovers will be totally over the moon when they see the fresh, creative and colourful fresh options.

There’s bucatini pasta with sardines and wild fennel, or if you’ve got a real thing for shellfish, you might be unable to
resist the simple, but brilliant, combination of reginelle pasta with lobster and asparagus.

But as you might expect, the main courses are quite possibly the best bit.

If you’re a huge seafood fan who likes minimal fuss, you might choose to go for a classic platter of mixed seafood.

Or, if you want something a bit different, there’s a wonderful pepper-crusted tuna steak served on a bed of fresh vegetables, and also a whole Mediterranean se abass encased in a salt and herb crust.

It all sounds totally amazing, and we can’t wait to tuck in.
