Why everyone should join the Super Sapa club at Hoi An

New menu launched at Vietnamese restaurant in Abu Dhabi

All-you-can-eat dining experiences are an essential part of Abu Dhabi life, and we’re perpetually on the look out for more chances to eat excessive amounts of food.

But while we seem to be spoilt for choice when it comes to aperitivo and sushi nights, the spread of Vietnamese food in the Super Sapa deal at Hoi An really stands out to us as something very different and exciting.

Those of you who aren’t too familiar with the cuisine of this fascinating South-East Asian country might imagine that the menu contains many varieties of pho (the traditional soup with noodles) and not much else.

But there’s so much more to Vietnamese food than these bowls of wholesome delights, and this daily offer lets you try a spread of amazing dishes from the Sa Pa region of north-west Vietnam for less than Dhs150.

The choice of starters is so brilliant that we’d still go along if they were the only things on offer.

Seafood fans will savour every mouthful of the Vietnamese pancakes with shrimp as well as the crab and asparagus soup.

Further moreish bites come in the form of rice-paper rolls, chicken satay, banana blossom salad, minced duck incha plu leaf and, of course, everyone’s favourite Asian appetiser, crispy spring rolls.

The mains also contain all the best Vietnamese fried creations. There are egg noodles with chicken and shrimp and also the likes of rice vegetables and tofu.

Or for a lighter option you could go for the steamed fish with green ginger and soy, sautéed beef, grilled chicken with lemongrass or a bowl of fresh vermicelli noodles with herbs and chicken.

However, while you’re working your way through these colourful plates (decorated with flowers just to make it all extra Insta-friendly), you need to think very seriously about saving room for dessert.

With roasted bananas and coconut ice cream, plus sticky rice cakes with ginger sugar syrup and coconut sauce, you simply can’t afford to miss out on any of these incredible ways to top off a cracking meal.
