Soul food

Sometimes you just need some hearty comfort food. The plates at The Terrace on the Corniche’s Soulful Sunday night might not be the most photogenic, but the wholesome dishes such as beef wellington, cottage pie and paella will leave you relaxed and satisfied.

Weekday fiesta
Lively bar Loca doesn’t just provide top nights out, it’s also got a wallet-friendly midday deal. The two-course business lunch menu has been refreshed for 2019 to include some of the eatery’s most popular dishes such as jumbo prawn salad and fajitas filled black Angus beef and cheese or mixed vegetables. There are tortilla chips with guac and salsa thrown in, too. Dreamy.

MONDAY
Bargain hours

Are you a fan of a late lunch or early dinner? Or simply can’t live without your mid-afternoon snack/small meal?
Well now you can get 50 percent off everything on the menu between 2.30pm and 6.30pm at Hemmingway’s.

TUESDAY
Asian fun

Girls can get three courses of Thai food plus two hours of unlimited house beverages, while gents can enjoy three courses and a house beverage at this raucous karaoke night at Mr Miyagi’s. Start warming up those vocal cords, there’s some stiff competition.

Aperitivo time

The aperitivo deal at Todd English’s Olives makes it very easy to imagine that you’re  sitting by the canals of the real Venice.  There are unlimited bar bites and house beverages for a whole two hours.

Good craic 
We love getting glammed up and taking a selfie or two (come on, we all do it) but sometimes we want to go out for a lunch that’s a bit more casual.

Endless dim sum

Shang Palace has launched a new menu of the tasty dumplings, and you can sample it all as part of its tremendous all-you-can-eat lunch deal.

Sho flow nights
Looking for a new way to kick off the weekend? Well now you can celebrate reaching the end of the week with unlimited amounts of sushi, sashimi and house beverages at Sho Cho.

FRIDAY
Wind-down dinner

Aqua is taking over the glamourous outdoor area at Glo and serving up a four-course meal of culinary delights for a discounted price. Work your way through expertly made starters, salads, mains and desserts as you marvel at the city’s glittering skyline.

Stars and stripes
When it comes to stodgy dishes, there’s nothing like American food. So if you’re still feeling weary after your Thursday-night partying, head down to Hamilton’s Gastropub to feast on USA-style burgers and hot dogs and listen to live renditions of top American tunes. There are also buckets of hops for Dhs99.

Mashawi night
The Friday-night feast at Grills @ Chill’o is back by popular demand. It turned out that we simply couldn’t live without our weekly fix of grilled meats and Arabic mezze, and now there’s also some American steaks on the line-up. Happy days.

SATURDAY
Rib feast

Got a thing for short ribs? Well now you can indulge all your cravings at Ray’s Grill. Take in the amazing views from the 63rd floor of Jumeirah at Etihad Towers while you work your way through endless amounts of Texas barbecue, hoisin, teriyaki and Korean barbecue ribs.

Sunset supper
Sontaya is encouraging us to be soppy throughout the whole of February with a special three-course set menu. It’s available every day between 6pm and 8pm (just in time for sunset) and includes dishes such as tempura king crab, tiger prawns and cheesecake.
