We’ve celebrate in private for many a year, but now the humble mushroom is finally being given the recognition it deserves.
Behold, six whole days spent bingeing on dishes stuffed full to the brim of glorious 'shrooms.
Granted, it’s a bit short for something called a 'week', but we aren’t about to split hairs, and from Monday February 18 until Saturday February 23 you’ll be able to indulge in the cherished ingredient at The Forge restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal, over a four-course menu.
Fill your boots with traditional and obscure fungi favourites, including chanterelle, porcini and morel varieties, specially imported from Europe.
The set menu costs Dhs250 per person and dishes include shimeji mushroom with yellow fin sesame tuna, forest mushroom soup, girolles and king oyster mushrooms with prime tenderloin and tiger prawns and black truffle ice cream with valrhona white chocolate parfait.
The Mushroom Menu is available from 7pm until 11pm under the supervision of Argentinean native Chef Gerardo Recabarren.
