Celebrate Vietnamese New Year in Abu Dhabi

Master chefs from Ho Chi Minh City are coming to create a special menu

Celebrate Vietnamese New Year in Abu Dhabi

While there’s plenty of Chinese New Year celebrations planned in Abu Dhabi  (like these awesome celebrations on Yas Island, there’s also the Vietnamese New Lunar Year to see to.

And one Abu Dhabi restaurant will be getting right into the spirit of things by bringing over some visiting master chefs from Ho Chi Minh City itself.

Park Bar and Grill, found at the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas, will be launching Masters of Food between Wednesday February 20 and Saturday 24.

Two guest chefs will collaborate with the restaurant’s head chef Mau, to create a range of dishes based on traditional ingredients found in the markets of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon).

The four-day showcase of Vietnamese cuisine will lay on local delicacies such as pho, báhn cuon and grilled beef in lotus leaf. There’ll also be some special drinks based on local mixology, inspired by (again) lotus, as well as Saigonese coffee.

If you’re a fan of Asian cuisine, and want to experience some authentic food and a taste of Vietnamese culture, then you certainly won’t want to miss this one-off special.

Prices vary. Feb 20-24, 7pm-11pm. Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas, Saadiyat Island (02 407 1138).
