The humble mushroom – so easy to grow, so simple to prepare, yet remarkable in its ability to transform each and every dish it graces into something wonderful.
Fellow mushroom-lovers, we have reason to rejoice, for Parmigiana Italian restaurant has dedicated an entire menu to the humble (yet stupendous) fungi.
The special wild mushroom menu honours the tradition of mushroom picking in the fields of Italy, which traditionally starts in November and lasts until April.
We feel bound to honour this tradition of our Italian friends, and consider it only right to endure (read, delight in) every mushroom-stuffed course of the special menu before it ends on Thursday January 31.
Dishes are laden with the delectable flavours of wild mushroom, such as porcini, galletti, cardoncelli, morhcello and the world-renowned truffles.
But that’s not all that’s going on at Parmigiana. Every Thursday night between 7pm and 11pm is Buon Cibo night at the Italian spot, offering unlimited servings of antipasti, pizza, one main course and a dessert with free-flowing beverages for Dhs169 with soft drinks and Dhs189 with house beverages.
