Abu Dhabi Restaurant Week: Angar

We know that going out to restaurants is one of the main hobbies of everyone here in Abu Dhabi.

A big reason for that is due to the sheer number of incredible places to eat in the capital.

Well, the dining scene just got that little bit more exciting thanks to the introduction of Abu Dhabi Restaurant Week powered by Time Out Abu Dhabi.

It’s part of Abu Dhabi Food Festival, one of the capital’s most popular annual events.

Between December 6 and 15, some of the city’s finest eateries will be offering special set menus, giving foodies the chance to sample some of the best food around for either Dhs99, Dhs149 or Dhs199.

The bumper list of capital favourites includes the excellent Angar at Yas Hotel.

This stylish Indian eatery prides itself on great food which takes a modern twist on authentic classics.

For Abu Dhabi Restaurant Week, you can try it for yourself with a three-course menu for Dhs199.

First course

Tandoori salmon - salmon marinated with dill, honey and mustard, home smoked with whole spices.
Karare phool Gobi - signature crispy cauliflower florets with red chili and coriander seeds.
Codai chicken - crispy chicken tossed with Indian pickle.

Second course

Butter chicken - chicken tikka, steeped in creamy tomato and butter sauce served with either biryani rice or plain naan.
Nariyali gucci gosht - lamb leg cubes braised with red onion, coconut, tomato and morels served with either biryani rice or plain naan.
Kadai Paneer - Indian cottage cheese cooked with bell peppers, onion, tomato and kadai spices served with either biryani rice or plain naan.

Third course

Gulab jamun - warm caramelized milk dumplings with figs and ginger ice cream
Mango kulfi - iced alphonso mango and condensed milk with rose falooda
