Abu Dhabi Restaurant Week: Trader Vic’s

You can dine at this capital favourite for Dhs199

Abu Dhabi Restaurant Week: Trader Vic’s

We know that going out to restaurants is one of the main hobbies of everyone here in Abu Dhabi.

A big reason for that is due to the sheer number of incredible places to eat in the capital.

Well, the dining scene just got that little bit more exciting thanks to the introduction of Abu Dhabi Restaurant Week powered by Time Out Abu Dhabi.

It’s part of Abu Dhabi Food Festival, one of the capital’s most popular annual events.

Between December 6 and 15, some of the city’s finest eateries will be offering special set menus, giving foodies the chance to sample some of the best food around for either Dhs99, Dhs149 or Dhs199.

You can find the menu of every single restaurant taking part at our dedicated section here.

The bumper list of capital favourites includes popular hangout Trader Vic's.

With a tropical-island vibe and drinks served in quirky coconut-shaped glasses, a meal at this fusion restaurant is guaranteed to put you in a good mood.

For Restaurant Week you can enjoy three courses of the cool hangout’s most vibrant and tasty dishes, including the masala chicken skewers, mango chili beef and lemon cheesecake.

First course

Salmon lomi lomi – marinated salmon with diced mango, cucumber, red onion, chillis, jalapeños and toasted sesame seeds
Masala chicken skewers with butter methi tomato sauce
Beef cho cho with a soy-sake glaze, finished at the table over a flaming hibachi

Second course

Mango chilli beef with peppers, red onion, mushroom and garlic sauce
Norwegian salmon with celery root and potato puree, plus chimichurri sauce
Thai green curry with chicken, aubergine and coconut broth

Third course

Meyer lemon cheesecake with raspberry
