Abu Dhabi Restaurant Week: Sacci

We know that going out to restaurants is one of the main hobbies of everyone here in Abu Dhabi.

A big reason for that is due to the sheer number of incredible places to eat in the capital.

Well, the dining scene just got that little bit more exciting thanks to the introduction of Abu Dhabi Restaurant Week powered by Time Out Abu Dhabi.

It’s part of Abu Dhabi Food Festival, one of the capital’s most popular annual events.

Between December 6 and 15, some of the city’s finest eateries will be offering special set menus, giving foodies the chance to sample some of the best food around for either Dhs99, Dhs149 or Dhs199.

You can find the menu of every single restaurant taking part at our dedicated section here.

The bumper list of capital favourites includes the elegant Sacci.

This Khalifa City seafood restaurant is home to a pleasant outdoor courtyard and sophisticated dining room.

For Restaurant Week it is offering a special three-course menu of authentic Italian dishes for a knock-down price.

Highlights include fried goats’ cheese with beetroot, prawn risotto and classic tiramisu for dessert.

We’re going to find it hard to choose, though, as it all sounds rather appealing.

First course

Capesante Gratinate – gratinated scallop, cauliflower puree, parmesan cheese, garlic and parsley
Insalata di Vegetali Croccanti – mesclun salad, rainbow carrot and beetroot, orange, avocado, pomegranate seeds and orange dressing
Caprino fritto – fried goats’ cheese, berry compote and beetroot

Second course

Risotto al limone – carnaroli rice, pine seeds and prawns
Mezzaluna con merluzzo e patate al profumo di sicilia – pasta filled with cod and potato, fresh tomato sauce, pine seeds, black olives and fennel
Tagliata – Pan-fried Australian sirloin steak, rocket salad, tomato, parmesan and balsamic reduction

Third course

Pineapple panna cotta
Tiramisu
Amedei cioccolato – chocolate fondant
