Abu Dhabi Restaurant Week: Brauhaus

We know that going out to restaurants is one of the main hobbies of everyone here in Abu Dhabi.

A big reason for that is due to the sheer number of incredible places to eat in the capital.

Well, the dining scene just got that little bit more exciting thanks to the introduction of Abu Dhabi Restaurant Week powered by Time Out Abu Dhabi.

It’s part of Abu Dhabi Food Festival, one of the capital’s most popular annual events.

Between December 6 and 15, some of the city’s finest eateries will be offering special set menus, giving foodies the chance to sample some of the best food around for either Dhs99, Dhs149 or Dhs199.

The bumper list of capital restaurants includes German favourite Brauhaus.

Offering authentic German dishes and a fine selection of hops, a meal here makes you feel like you’ve been transported over to Berlin for the night.

The three-course Restaurant Week menu features specialities from across Germany, with beef goulash soup, schnitzel and chocolate roulade amongst the varied list of options.

First course

Gulaschsuppe mit Rindfleisch, paprika, sauerrahm, knoblauch baguette – beef goulash soup, paprika, sour cream and
garlic baguette
Hausfrauen Herings fillet salat serviert in der ofenkartoffel – pickled herrings, salad and a sour cream, apple and dill sauce, all served in a baked potato.
Vesper brett, gemischte rauchfleisch platte, leberwurst, bauernschinken, schwarzwälderschinken, essiggemüse, Llöwensenf – cold cuts selection featuring smoked meats, liver paté, pickles and mustard

Second course
Geschmortes hirsch ragout, burgunder sauce, rahm pilze und spätzle – braised venison stew, burgundy jus, creamed mushroom and egg noodles
Schweine braten vom bauch und nacken, sauerkraut, kartoffelklöse – slow-roasted meat, sauerkraut and dumplings
Wiener schnitzel, kalbsschnitzel paniert, pommes Frites und preiselbeersauce – breaded-veal escalope, french fries and cranberry sauce

Third course
Schokoladen bisquitrolle, haselnusscrème, orangenkompott – chocolate roulade, hazelnut topping and orange coulis
Malakof becher, marinierte erdbeeren, schlagsahne, vanilleeis – malakof cake, marinated strawberries, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream
Käsek.uchen, passionsfrucht sorbet – cheesecake with passion fruit sorbet
