Eat Greek Kouzina launches new menu

New Greek island-inspired dishes are now available at the Al Maryah Island venue

Eat Greek Kouzina launches new menu

Whether it was romantic Santorini or lively Mykonos, if you’ve ever been lucky enough to visit the Greek islands, you’ll know exactly how brilliant the food is there.

Since opening in 2017, Eat Greek Kouzina has been supplying Abu Dhabi residents with its amazing selection of high-quality and authentic Greek food.

But after returning from a summer of travelling around the very vibrant and intoxicating country of Greece, general manager Argiris Tragoutsis felt inspired to refresh the menu.

The outlet has introduced a long list of new dishes, including sharing-style starters, fresh seafood and vegetarian offerings.

Tragoutsis explained that the new selection features traditional Greek flavours with a contemporary twist.

He said: “The menu combines our love of blending fresh vegetables from the local market together with ingredients from Greek farms. The end result is a delight for all the senses.”

To begin their meal, guests can now nibble on keftedakia, a traditional Greek beef meatball dish, while the main courses feature a fresh and tangy watermelon and manouri salad (pictured), spanakopita (spinach pie) and tiropita (cheese pie).

The seafood giouvarlakia avgolemono also sounds wonderful. This seafood speciality is cooked with celery, carrot, saffron and fresh herbs, and it’s accompanied by a lemon and egg sauce and crispy sourdough bread.

Vegetarians will also find lots of interesting options. The meat-free moussaka is made up of layers of potatoes, aubergine and courgette and finished with tomato and béchamel sauce. Meanwhile, the oregano and feta fries sound practically life changing.

We’re strong believers in the theory that there’s always room for dessert, which is a relief really as we’d hate to miss out on the baklava cheesecake. We also can’t possibly over exaggerate how keen we are to try the molten chocolate cake.
