Mushrooms are an underrated food, right?
Always the side dish, never the main attraction.
But Italian eatery Cipriani, on Yas Island, is hoping to change that with new foodie feast dedicated to funghi and an entire season for truffles.
Since earlier this month, chefs have been preparing delicious new dishes starring seasonal ovuli and porchini mushroom delicacies, straight from the forests of Italy.
Ovuli and porchini mushrooms are both highly sought after forms of the popular ingredient, especially in Italian cuisine.
Special dishes available in August include fresh ovuli and porcini mushroom salad with shaved Parmesan cheese, homemade veal ravioli with ovuli and porcini and veal medallion with ovuli and orcini mushroom sauce.
November will see the plush eatery launch its own truffle season, with Alba White Truffle dishes the star of the show.
It’s the perfect excuse for mushroom lovers to indulge themselves.
And while you’re there, you can enjoy the awesome views from Cipriani’s gorgeous terrace.
