One of the capital’s few dedicated specialist coffee shops is celebrating its second birthday by launching a new menu, and giving away free food on the occasion itself.
Joud Café in Al Bateen turns two on July 13 and if you visit between 1pm and 10pm bosses are handing out free food from the venue’s new menu.
The café prides itself on preparing everything in-house using the best ingredients the chefs can get their hands on.
That means they bake their own breads, cakes and desserts, sauces are made from scratch, meat is hormone-free and produce is organic where possible.
New items include a Mexican Taco Salad including grass-fed Angus beef, black beans, lettuce and loads more, Whipped Berry French Toast (which is topped with maple syrup, seasonal berries and our house-made whipped berry butter), an Acai Smoothie Bowl and a Crispy Chicken Burger, among others.
This is a birthday party we’re happy to be invited to.
Open daily 8am-10pm, Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, Al Bateen. Birthday event 1pm-10pm, Fri Jul 13.
