Ramadan is almost here, and there are many ways to get involved in the special time of year here in Abu Dhabi.

From traditional iftars are the city's Middle Eastern restaurants to set menus at high-end eateries, you can choose to break your fast in all kinds of ways.

But The St. Regis Abu Dhabi will be offering one of the most unusual.

This year, the hotel will be serving iftar in The Abu Dhabi Suite, the world's highest suspended suite.

Iftar in the Sky will be served 220m in the air in the stunning venue that joins both Nation Towers every Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the Holy Month.

There will be Middle Eastern dishes, a whole room dedicated to dessert and the traditional Ramadan beverages.

It costs Dhs320 per person and is served from sundown to 9.30pm. Reservations must be made in advance as the suite only holds 50 people. You can also book the whole place out for private gatherings.

Dhs320. Thu-Sat during Ramadan, sunset-9.30pm. The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, Nation Towers Corniche West, (02 694 4553).
