Comedian Carmen Lynch coming to Abu Dhabi

US star part of The Laughter Factory's January tour

It might soon be a brand-new year – but thankfully one of the longest running jokes in town (we mean that in a nice way, of course) won’t be ringing in the changes in 2018.

We love The Laughter Factory just the way it is and it gave us plenty of early New Year cheer to find out the chuckly crew will be rolling back into Abu Dhabi in January 2018 with a terrific triple bill of side-splitting international acts.

Leading the brilliant line-up at Park Rotana Abu Dhabi on January 17 will be multi-lingual comedy sensation Carmen Lynch – who definitely knows the universal language of laughter.

The popular New Yorker, a Spanish-American stand-up who has won a firm following thanks in no small part of a string of appearances on TV programmes such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Conan and The Late Show with David Letterman, will be bringing a masterclass of mirth to the UAE.

In the past year, she has enjoyed a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her show Lynched, has entertained the troops in Iraq and Kuwait, and done her stand-up act in the local lingo in several Spanish-speaking countries. Bravo!

Lynch will be sharing the spotlight with sharp-witted Scot Mark Nelson and award-winning funnyman Luke Toulson.
Nelson’s brilliant blend of dark humour, cutting observations and rapid-fire one-liners has made him one of the biggest names on the UK touring comedy circuit over the last decade.

The first-ever Scottish Comedian of the Year winner in 2006, Nelson also has a Masters in politics from Glasgow University, which informs his hard-hitting yet intelligent and insightful comedic style. Nelson’s gift for the gag extends to writing material for Jason Manford and Russell Howard, as well as penning his own radio series, Mark Nelson’s Guide to Marriage.

Last, but certainly not least, is Luke Toulson, who has appeared on hit BBC show Russell Howard’s Good News and written material for a number of comedians appearing on Mock The Week and Live At The Apollo.

His own Edinburgh Fringe show, I Don’t Know How I Feel About My Kids, was selected as one of the top ten comedy shows at the Fringe by the Amused Moose comedy club.

A regular at some of the UK’s biggest comedy clubs, charming and laid-back Luke is set to deliver a superb set for Abu Dhabi comedy fans.

We can’t wait for 2018 to get here so we can see this trio in action.
