See the UAE’s next music star crowned at Abu Dhabi hotel

Final of emirate-wide talent search taking centre stage at Aloft Abu Dhabi this weekend

A new UAE musical star could be born this weekend – with a potentially life-changing recording deal up for grabs in the final of a major talent competition at Aloft Abu Dhabi.

After 130 entrants and thousands of votes cast, the nation’s next breakout musical star is set to be crowned at the Project: Aloft Star final on Friday.

The fantastic final four performers, Stephon Lamar, Yousef Khalil, Iva Georgieva and Danny Aridi, will be aiming to hit a high note and wow an expert panel of judges on their way to securing a contract with Sony Music Entertainment Middle East.

The talent search winner will also have the opportunity to record their own music video, will be given a mentoring session with the industry’s finest producers, lyricists and choreographers and a chance to bask in the spotlight at big public events throughout the region.

This year’s Project: Aloft Star champion will be chosen by a group of judges including some of the biggest names in the UAE music industry, including Mike Fairburn, the General Manager of Sony Music Entertainment Middle East, and established UAE artist DJ Bliss.

Music lovers are being invited to come along to the event and cheer on the finalists.

The big finale will be held at Relax@12, the hotel’s rooftop lounge, and the event is free and open to anyone aged 21 or
over.

Free. Fri, Nov 10. 8pm (doors open at 7pm). Aloft Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (02 654 5000).
