Ready for some serious immersive art in the capital? teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi is coming to Saadiyat.
DCT Abu Dhabi and Miral are bringing a whole new kind of art to Abu Dhabi with the brand new art space: teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi. This isn’t just paintings in a gallery. It’s interactive art.
And now, it has been announced that construction is 25 percent complete and teamLab Phenomena is on track to open in 2024.
“We are delivering our vision to welcome the world to Abu Dhabi and inspire future generations to embark on journeys of creativity and discovery,” said H.E. Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, undersecretary at DCT Abu Dhabi. “As we transform the emirate into an unparalleled global destination with arts, culture and entertainment at the forefront, teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi will be truly unique and a milestone of innovation and progress.”
TeamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, aka, the “home of infinite curiosity,” will feature original and constantly changing art and technology created by teamLab. The space will be housed within what sounds like yet another architectural masterpiece on Saadiyat Island.

The globally acclaimed Tokyo-based art collective, teamLab, is known for its unique artistic vision. Now it’s going to have a permanent space at Saadiyat Cultural district with teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi.
In a few short years, you’ll find the immersive art space between Louvre Abu Dhabi and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, bridging the gap between history, culture and creativity, and immersing visitors deep inside the creative experience.
Wondering what kind of art you can expect? The featured artworks will be created through an experimentation process, which is shaped by the changing surrounding environment. It’s art that you can touch, see and walk right inside. (And definitely put up on social.) The idea is that each experience is unique to each visitor and the art changes each time you visit.
If you’re hoping to encounter some incredible art in Abu Dhabi right now, all you need to do is head to Saadiyat Island. Home to the stunning Louvre Abu Dhabi, Manarat Al Saadiyat and the NYUAD Art Gallery, the island is bursting with cool arts spaces to see.
And that’s not all. Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum, the Natural History Museum and now teamLab Phenomena are all set to open on Saadiyat, each offering incredible ways of engaging with art, science, culture and Abu Dhabi itself.
