These figures were announced at the UAE Government’s weekly COVID-19 press conference.
At the meeting it was also announced that individuals with Type 1 diabetes or gestational diabetes are more likely to get complications with COVID-19.
In addition, symptoms of COVID-19 begin within four to five days after infection but can be longer in elderly people and those suffering from chronic diseases.
The UAE government also reminded residents to remain vigilant and take responsibility to stop the spread of the virus.
