We know the UAE’s city skylines like the back our hands but we still love seeing stunning satellite images of our home.
The high resolution satellite images were taken using a new 'mosaic' system that captures a system of images and collates them together to create one crystal clear image.
Aiming to map the UAE in great detail, the images were shared on the MBRSC social media pages.
MBRSC releases 0.7 meter satellite image âÃÂÃÂMosaicâÃÂàof Dubai and Abu Dhabi captured by #KhalifaSat. The system captures a matrix of individual digital images to create a single high-resolution picture of the UAEâÃÂÃÂs terrains. pic.twitter.com/PipStjmFUN— MBR Space Centre (@MBRSpaceCentre) August 4, 2020
The new technology will allow research and academic institutions to study the geography, topography and environment of the UAE with accuracy.
We might not be able to study the images like an academic, but we do know the UAE looks amazing from the land or the sky.
