Abu Dhabi Police has urged to public to dispose of their personal protective equipment (PPE) responsibly.

Masks are mandatory in many public spaces and disposable gloves are also required in shopping malls, supermarkets and more.

Reminding residents to be responsible and improve public safety, those caught throwing away used masks and gloves from their vehicles will face punishments.

Motorists will face fines of Dhs1,000 and six black points if caught improperly disposing of PPE.

Safely disposing of masks and gloves can help stop the spread of COVID-19.
