Stunning satellite pictures show Abu Dhabi captured from space

The European Space Agency (ESA) has released a virtual tour of Abu Dhabi from outer space.

The video contains images captured of the UAE capital by the space agency’s two orbiting satellites that monitor the Earth and variability in land surface conditions.

Captured from orbit, landmarks including bridges, Islands, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Mangroves National Park and Abu Dhabi Airport were photographed.

Abu Dhabi was the focus in the ESA’s series Earth From Space and there’s an episode dedicated to the UAE capital.

On the ESA website you can also see more images and read about the UAE capital here.

You can also see amazing birds-eye images of Abu Dhabi and Dubai attractions and sites here.
