UAE residents have been asked to self-isolate and embrace the #StayHome initiative to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

In addition, a nationwide disinfection campaign means the public must remain at home between 8pm and 6am each night.

Abu Dhabi Municipality has shared images on social media showing how Abu Dhabi’s streets completely empty overnight as residents stay indoors.

Pictures include Abu Dhabi Corniche, Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Al Reem Island, Al Maryah Island and downtown Abu Dhabi, all empty.
