Tickets are now on sale for Abu Dhabi’s massive National Day celebration

UAE flags will line the streets and the country will be getting ready to celebrate when National Day comes around on Monday December 2.

Abu Dhabi is set to celebrate the UAE's 48th National Day in style with a huge celebration at Zayed Sports City.

Legacy of our Ancestors, will reflect on the nation’s achievements, heritage and traditions, with immersive stories from the UAE’s past that use amazing effects, sounds and visuals to bring the tales to life on stage.

A series of live performances will also take place at the event to celebrate the achievements of the UAE since its unification in 1971.

Tickets to the official celebration are now on sale and start from Dhs60.

Groups of four or more people can get tickets for Dhs50 and children under the age of two can attend for free.

Saeed Al Suwaidi, representative of the organising committee of the official 48th UAE National Day Celebration, said: “The epic scale of this production, coupled with the rich tapestry of values derived from our most precious of stories, will ensure ‘Legacy of Our Ancestors’ reaches a theatrical level never experienced before in the UAE. The show will create a sense of pride, which will live for many years to come and serve as a fitting masterpiece for the official 48th UAE National Day Celebration.

“With more than 200 nationalities proudly calling the UAE home, our National Day remains a much-loved calendar date for Emiratis and expatriates alike. As Abu Dhabi continues to attract a growing number of regional and international visitors, we hope ‘Legacy of Our Ancestors’ will shine a greater light on the stories of our past that continue to shape our future.”
