UAE launch 12-year plan to improve Abu Dhabi residents’ wellbeing

The UAE Cabinet has announced a 12-year plan to improve the lives of people living in Abu Dhabi and the rest of the country.

The National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031 aims to ensure the long-term quality of life of residents in the UAE, and support UAE Vision 2021.

The new strategy aims to help transition the country towards a knowledge-based economy, protect public safety, strengthen family ties and improve the quality of life of residents.

By 2031 the strategy hopes to have established a developed country, cohesive society with prosperous individuals.

The strategy is based on three main sections including individuals, society and the country.

Within these sections are 14 components and nine strategic objectives including enhancing people's wellbeing by promoting healthy and active lifestyles, promoting good mental health and adopting positive thinking.

A total of 90 supporting initiatives targeting more than 40 priority areas are also included.

While exact details on those initiatives have not been announced yet, this sounds like great news for all of us living and working in the UAE. We're excited to find out more.
